Mr. Johnson is a retired Partner of Private Advisors, LLC, a subsidiary of New York Life Investment Management. At year end 2014 the firm managed approx. $5.8 billion in hedge funds and private equity assets, managing both Fund-of-Funds and direct investments funds. Mr. Johnson joined Private Advisors as one of three partners in. He served on the investment committee of each of the firm’s funds and was the portfolio manager of the Hedged Equity Fund, LP and the Hedged Strategies Fund, LP. Previously he was the President of EIM (USA), Inc., a hedge fund of funds group with offices in New York, London, and Geneva Switzerland. Prior to EIM, Mr. Johnson was a Director at Dubin and Swieca Capital Management in New York, managers of multi-strategy hedge fund of funds. Mr. Johnson began his career on Wall St at Loeb Rhoades & Co in the corporate bond department. He has an M.B.A. from Tulane University and a B.A. from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill where he was a Morehead Scholar. Mr. Johnson served on the board of the St Catherine’s School Board of Governors 2010-2014 and its Foundation board from 2004-2014. Mr. Johnson currently serves on The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Foundation Board.
