Mr. Luke is the retired Chairman of WestRock, a global packaging company. Prior to this, he was the Chair and Chief Executive Officer of MeadWestvaco (MWV) where his career with the company spanned more than 35 years and a variety of leadership roles; he was chair of Westvaco prior to a merger with Mead in 2002. Mr. Luke serves on the boards of FM, a leader in commercial property insurance, the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, and the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research. He is a former member of the Board of Visitors at VCU, where he also served as Rector, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, the board of governors of The Community Foundation serving Richmond and central Virginia (2011-2019), American Forest & paper Association, the National Association of Manufacturers, and the boards of The Bank of New York Mellon and The Timken Company. Mr. Luke began his career with Procter & Gamble Company, following service as an officer in the U.S. Air Force. He graduated from Lawrence University and received his MBA from Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
